DENVER – Colorado Ballet's ballerinas will walk the runway in the collections of local boutiques at Denver Fashion en Pointe from 6 to 9 p.m. on September 6, 2012 at the Chloe Mezze Lounge, 1445 Market St. in Denver. Denver Fashion en Pointe is one of several fashion focused events that will occur on Fashion’s Night Out on September 6 in several major U. S. Cities, including Denver. It also is the opening day of Spring 2013 Fashion Week in New York.
Denver Fashion en Pointe is generously sponsored by Chloe and Skinnygirl® Cocktails, as well as the featured boutiques: A.Line Boutique in Greenwood Village, Blue Ruby in Larimer Square and Main Street Littleton, Gracie’s on South Pearl, and Moxie and Rebel, both in Greenwood Village. Colorado Ballet is pleased to highlight these Denver Metro Area boutiques, which are shopping staples of fashion conscious Denverites.
“Supporting the arts and Denver are our two biggest passions,” said Chloe Marketing Director Quinn Washington. “We could not be happier to engage the next generation of supporters of Colorado Ballet in our space through such a unique and fun event. Skinnygirl® Cocktails will host an assortment of their drinks at the Chloe bar 6 to 7 p.m. At 7 p.m., 15 percent of the cash bar proceeds will be donated to Colorado Ballet.”
Guests will automatically be entered to win prize drawings throughout the evening, including tickets to Colorado Ballet’s production of The Sleeping Beauty, which opens October 5 at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House. Host committee members Lacee Artist, Caitlin Cruickshank, Katy Davenport, Molly Edwards, Auna Jornayvaz, Monica Owens, Katelyn Roberts and Jennie Virgilio, and Colorado Ballet staff and dancers will mingle with guests at the event.
“As a former dancer, I have a deep appreciation for professional dancers as both athletes and artists,” said Colorado Ballet Trustee Monica Owens, who joined the host committee for this event. “I think it will be exciting for the guests to see the ballerinas walk the runway in their pointe shoes, and their athletic bodies will show off these collections—they are natural models!”
Tickets are $35 and available for purchase online at www.coloradoballet.org/fashion. Guests of Denver Fashion en Pointe will receive free admission to the Chloe Discotheque after the fashion show at 10 p.m.
