The Academy offers many performance opportunities to its students year-round. Winter Showcase, in December or January each year, is for fall semester students and is an academy performance for upper level pre-professional students in our ballet program. Spring Showcase is an opportunity for all spring semester Academy students in Pre-Ballet 1 and up in our ballet program, all open teen classes, and some adult open classes. Each year, Academy students ages 8 and up are encouraged to audition for Colorado Ballet company's performance of The Nutcracker, which is performed at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House.
At the end of each academic year, in May, all students in the ballet programs will have an annual examination. This exam report will give students and parents the opportunity for feedback from the teachers. Most students will remain in the same grade level for the fall, spring, and summer semesters. Graduation between levels normally occurs every one or two years.
Students are limited to two make-up class cards per semester.
