Intermediate Ballet Intensive (IBI)

Monday through Friday, 9am – 2:30pm

Heather Prokhnitski with other esteemed Colorado Ballet faculty members, will be instructing an Intermediate Ballet Intensive for intermediate, pre-professional ballet students ages 8 through 14 years old. Prokhnitski, was a full-scholarship student at the Kirov Academy in Washington, D.C. and studied for a year at the Vaganova Ballet Academy in St. Petersburg, Russia. Marlene Strang, Director of Curriculum and Instruction, will be teaching modern throughout the intensive. Students will provide their own snacks, lunch, and ballet slippers are required. 

Application can be returned to Phoebe Coleman via email (Phoebe.Coleman@ColoradoBallet.org), fax (303) 861-7174, or in person/by mail. No audition necessary for current Colorado Ballet students. Non-current students are encouraged to apply by March 13 by mailing in their application with a 1st arabesque photo. DVD auditions of a solo variation are optional and not required. Non-current students will be notified by March 15 of their acceptance status.

Intermediate Ballet Intensive is recommended for current  students who have graduated Level 2 and are between Level 3 and 5. Some students may be recommended for the five-week Summer Intensive Program, which runs from June 17 - July 19, 2013.

Once accepted, please complete the IBI Acceptance Packet and return to Phoebe Coleman with the $150 deposit (or full balance) are due by March 20, 2013. Full balance is due by the start of program.
