Intermediate Ballet Intensive (IBI)
Summer | June 18 - June 29, 2012 | Ages 8 - 14 | CENTRAL ACADEMY | $650 tuition | Optional Housing $1,120 cost
Ballet | Pre-Pointe Conditioning and Pointe | Jazz | Modern | Ballet Theory
Monday through Friday, 9am – 2:30pm
Heather Prokhnitski, esteemed Colorado Ballet faculty member, will be instructing an Intermediate Ballet Intensive for intermediate, pre-professional ballet students ages 8 through 14 years old. Prokhnitski, was a full-scholarship student at the Kirov Academy in Washington, D.C. and studied for a year at the Vaganova Ballet Academy in St. Petersburg, Russia. Marlene Strang, Director for Curriculum and Instruction, will be teaching jazz and modern throughout the intensive. Students will provide their own snacks and ballet slippers are required. Once accepted, please complete an IBI Acceptance Packet and return to Phoebe Coleman.
Intermediate Ballet & Modern Intensive (IBMI)
Summer | August 6 - 10 | Ages 8 - 12 | SOUTH ACADEMY | $350 tuition
Ballet | Jazz | Modern | Choreography | Improvisation | Modern Partnering
Monday through Friday, 9am – 2:30pm
Stephanie Koltiska, Dance Coordinator, and Marlene Strang, Director for Curriculum and Instruction, will be directing and instructing the intensive. Students will provide their own snacks and ballet slippers are required. Application can be returned to Phoebe via email (Phoebe.Coleman@ColoradoBallet.org), fax (303) 861-7174, or by mail.
