Luis Valdes
Luis Valdes was born in Matanzas, Cuba, and joined Colorado Ballet in 2005. Previously, he performed with the National Ballet of Cuba and Cincinnati Ballet. Mr. Valdes' favorite role with Colorado Ballet is Espada in Don Quixote. Since joining Colorado Ballet, Valdes has had the opportunity to dance as a guest in modern dance pieces in Florida, New York, and Iowa. Some of his favorite choreography includes Twyla Tharp’s In The Upper Room, Paul Taylor’s Company B and Antony Tudor’s Echoing of Trumpets.
