5 X 5 Program

The 5 X 5 Program by the Denver Office of Children’s Affairs is designed to offer Head Start families opportunities to give their children five cultural experiences by the age of five.

Head Start teachers:

Creative Movement:
Pre-K, Early Elementary 
Students will learn about a variety of dance concepts, such as, size, balance, rhythm, levels, shapes, and energy. The class will develop spatial awareness, problem solving, and strengthening the body and brain.

Colorado Ballet’s Education & Community Engagement department is offering a free day of Creative Movement for 5 X 5 families on both Dec. 4, 2016 and May 7, 2017. Classes will occur 3 times on each date: 10am, 12pm and 2pm, lasting 45 minutes. Students will learn about a variety of dance concepts, such as, size, balance, rhythm, levels, shapes, and energy. The class will develop spatial awareness, problem solving, and strengthening the body and brain.

Restrictions for 5 X 5 visitors: Limited Availability (80 reservations per class time slot). First-come, first-served.

Colorado Ballet offers 5X5 participants with pass books and a variety of FREE ways to experience dance:

Colorado Ballet offers free tickets to select performances. These tickets are first-come, first-served.  Please ask your Head Start program for more information.

5X5 tickets are not available on Colorado Ballet's website or at the ticketing office.
