Summer Templin Culp

Summer Templin Culp was trained primarily in ballet and modern dance, with additional training in other dance forms including contemporary, jazz, aerial, hip hop and swing. Summer grew up in Telluride, CO where her mother was a Montessori educator.  Prior to moving to Boulder, CO, Summer trained with Valerie Madonia and Shirley Fortenberry in Telluride. After moving to Boulder, Summer trained at what is now the Boulder Ballet School and eventually danced with the Boulder Ballet Company.  She studied with State Street Ballet, the Jillana School, and the Joffrey South Workshop. Summer holds a BFA in dance from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Summer's teaching style combines Montessori influences with inspiration from number of different teachers including Ana Claire, Vernon Windsor, Erika Randall, Jayne Persch and Jacob Mora. Summer is passionate about bridging the gap between dance styles and helping the next generation of dancers cultivate their artistry through well-rounded, healthful and holistic training. In addition to teaching throughout the Denver Metro community, Summer also dances with the Life/Art Dance Ensemble, a modern dance company based in Denver, Colorado.
