ACADEMY FACULTY
Carly Wipf was born in Sacramento, California and first fell in love with dancing as a toddler while taking lessons with Sacramento Youth Ballet. She was put into ballet as a form of early intervention and realized firsthand the power that dance has to help children develop critical social skills, motor skills, and artistry. Carly brings her love for ballet and experience in the field of early childhood education to Colorado Ballet’s Children’s Division and looks forward to helping young dancers explore the world through art and movement.
Carly’s natural curiosity and desire to learn have led her to cultivate a unique career history that blends journalism, marketing, early childhood education, and dance.
While obtaining her BA in Journalism from San Francisco State University and pursuing additional early childhood education credits, Carly took classes at San Francisco Ballet. Other studios she has studied at include The Ballet Studio in Sacramento, The Dance Scene in Eureka, and North Coast Dance. Today, she participates in ongoing professional development as a member of the National Dance Education Organization and has been taking classes in Colorado Ballet’s adult division since moving to Denver in March of 2025.
