Cassie’s expertise in trauma-informed practices, positive youth engagement, culturally responsive teaching, and social-emotional learning makes her a valued leader and collaborator. Her holistic approach to teaching and passion for creating welcoming environments align with the goals of accessibility-focused initiatives and ensure that all participants feel supported and included.
Cassie has completed the Summer Dance Institute for Teachers with the Creative Dance Center led by Anne Green Gilbert, presented at the National Dance Education Organization (NDEO) Conference, and participated in the Open Exchange Program in Panama with Movement Exchange, promoting dance as a vehicle for social change. She was also awarded the Learning & Leadership Champion Award from the Denver Afterschool Alliance in recognition of her leadership and innovation in education.
Cassie brings her passion for creativity, community, and connection into classrooms and studios across Denver, integrating her love of travel, movement, and global perspectives into her teaching practice. A proud mother, she draws inspiration from parenthood to cultivate empathy, curiosity, and joy in her work—values she strives to share with every student and community she engages. She feels deeply grateful to have been part of Colorado Ballet’s Education & Community Engagement Team since 2017, contributing to its ongoing mission to make dance accessible and meaningful for all.
