Cobin began his ballet training at the age of 13 with Boulder Ballet School in Boulder, Colorado. In 2021, he was invited to join Colorado Ballet Academy’s Pre-Professional Division, where he trained under Erica Fischbach, Domenico Luciano, Maria Mosina, and Slava Mesropov. Under their direction, Cobin performed notable roles including Siegfried in Swan Lake and Albrecht in Giselle, and was featured in contemporary works by Maria Konrad. He has participated in summer and short-term training programs with Dutch National Ballet, American Ballet Theatre’s JKO School, Ellison Ballet, and The Royal Ballet School. Additionally, Cobin had the privilege of studying at the 2026 Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival as a Contemporary Ballet Scholar, where he performed in world premieres by Annabelle Lopez Ochoa and Claudia Schreier.
Upon graduating from Colorado Ballet Academy in 2024, Cobin accepted an offer to join Colorado Ballet’s Studio Company and was promoted to Apprentice with the company in 2026. Since joining Colorado Ballet, he has performed a range of classical and neoclassical repertoire, including A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Sleeping Beauty, The Nutcracker, Val Caniparoli’s Jekyll & Hyde, Kenneth Tindall’s Casanova, and Glen Tetley’s The Rite of Spring.
