ACADEMY FACULTY

Emma Lee Frenette is a native of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Ms. Frenette is the Artistic Director of Boys Ballet Summer Intensive, a program specifically designed for men in ballet. Emma is a fully certified teacher of the American Ballet Theatre National Training Curriculum. Ms. Frenette received her Associate in Arts degree with a 4.0 GPA and honors in 2016 from Wake Technical Community College, and graduated summa cum laude from Walden University in 2019 with a B.S. in Business Communication. Ms. Frenette performed with both the Carolina Ballet and the Orlando Ballet. Ms. Frenette was on faculty at the International Ballet Academy in North Carolina from 2014 to 2025 and was the Ballet Mistress during her time at IBA. Emma also taught at the Eglevsky Ballet in New York, led by Executive Artistic Director Maurice Brandon Curry.

Ms. Frenette studied at the Goh Ballet in Vancouver, Canada with Fiona Smith and Meifang Lin. Emma continued her training in the United States with Chris and Laura Martin, Dmitri and Jennifer Kulev, Kim Marsh, Dierdre Miles Burger, and Olivier Muñoz. Ms. Frenette has performed numerous roles from various ballets such as Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, Paquita Grand Pas Classique, Don Quixote, Le Corsaire, Giselle, Les Sylphides, The Nutcracker, Romeo and Juliet, Cinderella, Coppélia, Carmen, and George Balanchine's Serenade. As a student, Ms. Frenette attended summer intensives at The Royal Ballet School, American Ballet Theatre JKO School, San Fransisco Ballet School, and Boston Ballet School.
