EDUCATION & COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT ASSISTANT

A lifelong dancer, Lex grew up immersed in the creative world of Aurora Dance Arts, where their love for movement and storytelling took root. From an early age, they had the opportunity to collaborate with professional companies such as Avatar Movement Dance Company, gaining invaluable experience and inspiration. During their time at Smoky Hill High School, Lex was an active member of both the school’s dance company and competition team, where they honed their performance skills and developed a deep appreciation for the artistry behind every production.

After graduating, Lex transitioned from the spotlight to behind the scenes—bringing productions like The Nutcracker, The Wizard of Oz, and Alice in Wonderland to life through their work in set design, costume design, and makeup artistry. Their creativity and dedication to every facet of dance production reflect a lifelong commitment to the arts.

Since 2024, Lex has been part of the Education & Community Engagement Department, where they continue to share their love of dance and creativity with communities across Colorado. They’re excited to see where this artistic journey leads next and to keep inspiring others through the power of dance.
