Montana O’Brien
TEACHING ARTIST
Montana O’Brien began dancing at the age of four. She trained with Ballet Arizona, Colorado Ballet Academy and Classical Ballet Academy. She also attended summer programs at Bolshoi Ballet and The Jillana School. Montana graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Ballet from the University of Utah, where she trained under Pablo Piantino, Dr. Melonie Buchanan-Murray, and Calvin Kitten. Montana has danced professionally with Charlottesville Ballet, Ballet Papillon, and Ballet Ariel as a soloist. Her notable roles include Fritz, Spanish, and Warrior couple. Currently, Montana is a freelance dancer, ballet instructor, and Teaching Artist with Colorado Ballet’s Education Department, a role she's held since 2019. Montana is certified in Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT). Montana is an ABT® Certified Teacher, who has successfully completed the ABT® Teacher Training Intensive in Pre-Primary through Level 5 of the ABT® National Training Curriculum.
