Rowan Salem

TEACHING ARTIST

Rowan Salem is a choreographer, performer, and teacher. Her interests lie in improvisation, performance, and links between philosophy and movement. She has recently performed in the work of Angie Hauser, Chris Aiken, Terese Freedman, Jim Coleman, Lorraine Chapman, and Barbie Diewald. Rowan was a Teaching Fellow/Gretchen Moran Scholar at Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts where she received a Masters of Fine Arts in Choreography and Performance. She has taught Amherst College, Smith College, and the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Rowan recently moved to Colorado and is the recipient of the 2017 Create Award Residency at Art Gym, Denver.
