Apprentice • Joined Colorado Ballet in 2022

Hometown: Littleton, Colorado

Tate began dancing at the age of 7, originally training in hip-hop. Tate began his ballet training at age 9 at Littleton Ballet Academy. Tate won 1st place at YAGP Pittsburgh in 2019 and 2nd place in the Pas de Deux category at YAGP Denver the same year. Tate also won 1st place at Denver Ballet Guild in 2018. Tate attended the Houston Ballet, The School of American Ballet, and Pacific Northwest Ballet summer intensives. Tate was accepted to the School of the American Ballet in 2019, performing in ballets including Mozartiana (Balanchine), Tchaikovsky Pas de Deux (Balanchine), and Divertimento #15 (Balanchine). During this time, Tate would also participate in the New York City Institute. Tate left SAB and joined Colorado Ballet's Studio Company in 2022. He was promoted to Apprentice in 2023.
