Sharon Cooper, President of Sharon Cooper Associates, Ltd., a Colorado corporation specializing in Talent Representation, Advertising, Public Relations and Marketing is originally from Chicago. Sharon’s undergraduate degree in Communications is from Northeastern Illinois University and her Master’s Degree in Counseling Education is from Loyola University of Chicago, with postgraduate studies in Health Care Administration from Chicago Medical School where she was also an Adjunct Assistant Professor. Overall, Sharon’s educational focus was teaching teachers how to teach and managers how to manage.
Sharon has been an invited lecturer both nationally and internationally, including Harvard University Medical School, the University of Denver, the University of Colorado at Denver and Metropolitan State College of Denver. She had been an active community member, serving on multiple boards of directors that included the Denver Ballet where she served as Vice-President, the Guild of the Food Bank of the Rockies, where she was President. She is an active member of the DCPA Alliance and an active member of the Denver Press Club where she served as Vice-President. Sharon feels that by coming on an an Outreach Instructor for Colorado Ballet she “completes an important life circle by coming home to the dance world.”
For over a decade, Sharon has assisted the Kiwanis Club of Castle Rock with their production of the well-known, annual “Stars of Tomorrow” Competition, where she helps with judging and the staging of contestants. Sharon is certified to teach belly dancing and performs in shows both as a group dancer and as a soloist. In addition to teaching group lessons, she also teaches private lessons. When not dancing, Sharon continues to author adult and children’s books for publication, including “The Night of the Witching Moon,” and is working on a movie script as well as other projects in development for television and movies.
