Colorado Ballet consists of 43 professional dancers from all over the world and from diverse backgrounds. Additionally, the Company has more than 17 members of the Studio Company, which provides young dancers with training and performance opportunities as a start into a professional career in ballet.

Each season, the Company performs a varied season of classical and contemporary ballets in Denver. In 2009, Colorado Ballet received the Colorado Masterpieces program to tour Colorado's Front Range. The program was funded by the Colorado Council on the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts through their American Masterpieces: Three Centuries of Artistic Genius initiative.

In August 2014, Colorado Ballet moved into its new home The Armstrong Center for Dance in Denver's Art District on Santa Fe near Downtown Denver. In 2016, Colorado Ballet's The Nutcracker was named the best-loved Nutcracker in the 10th Annual Goldstar National Nutcracker Award contest, winning this coveted honor in a field that included more than 80 other productions throughout the U.S..
