Colorado Ballet Academy is grateful to train dancers who come from a variety of backgrounds. Students join our Academy year-round at all ages and levels with unique goals and aspirations while sharing a passion for classical ballet. Academy students share a space with Colorado Ballet and experience unique opportunities to dance alongside, take class from, and begin their professional dance career with the Company.
Are you looking to join Colorado Ballet Academy? Complete the form below to request a placement class for your student at Colorado Ballet Academy. All students over the age of 7 must take a placement class to enroll at Colorado Ballet Academy. If your dancer is under the age of 7 but you would still like to schedule a placement class, please include this information under “additional information” at the bottom of the form.

Once a Colorado Ballet Academy administrator has confirmed your student’s placement class, you will receive an email with a link to pay the $25 placement class fee and sign a liability waiver for your student. Please make sure your waiver and payment are completed before arriving at Colorado Ballet Academy.
Please see the information below to help you prepare for your student’s placement class.
Students have the right to dress in accordance with
their gender identity, within Colorado Ballet Academy's dress code requirements.
Females: Black leotard, pink or skin tone tights, ballet shoes that match tone of chosen tights, optional black wrap skirt.
Males: Form fitting white t-shirt, black tights, black ballet shoes.
Hair: Students with long hair should have their hair pulled back, away from the face in a
neat manner. Ballet buns are required for students who have enough hair to do
so.
Please refrain from wearing any large pieces of jewelry, watches, or anything that could be a distraction.
Please arrive 10 minutes early. You will be given a name tag and shown to the correct studio.
You will be notified via email within one week of the date of the placement class which level your student should register for. We aim to get back to students as soon as possible, but please know if we are in the middle of a production, it might take longer.
Location and Parking
Colorado Ballet Academy is located at 1075 Santa Fe Drive, Denver, CO 80204. The entrance to the building is on the parking lot side of the building. The parking lot is reserved for staff and company members from Monday – Saturday until 6pm. Please find street parking and walk in or drop your student off at the door.
Students:
Bring enough water and your dance bag with you into class. If you wear pointe shoes, please
bring them to class.
Please make sure that your name tag is easily visible for your teacher to see.
If you want to know where the restroom or water fountains are located, please do not hesitate to
ask.
Phones and smart watches should be turned off and not checked during class.
Parent/Guardian:
Parents/Guardians are not allowed to watch class.?Colorado
Ballet Academy has a lobby for you to wait in.
Please do not ask about placement immediately following the end
of your student’s class, many of the Colorado Ballet Academy faculty
teach classes immediately following and this would take away class time from other students.
