Colorado Ballet Brings The Nutcracker Back to the Ellie Caulkins Opera House This Holiday Season Nov. 26-Dec. 24 Performances Presented By PNC Bank
DENVER (Nov. 1, 2022) – Colorado Ballet’s production of The Nutcracker will return to its home in the Denver Performing Arts Complex this holiday season. Presented by PNC Bank, Colorado Ballet’s 62nd production of The Nutcracker will include 26 in-person performances featuring five different casts of dancers and live music performed by the Colorado Ballet Orchestra.
For the second year, The Nutcracker will showcase its new sets and costumes created especially for Colorado Ballet by renowned designers Thomas Boyd and Holly Hynes.
“It’s the most wonderful time of year,” said Gil Boggs, artistic director. “Nutcracker season! We look forward to bringing this cherished tradition back to Colorado audiences in spectacular style, thanks to our stunning sets and costumes which debuted last year.”
“The artistry that went into creating our new Nutcracker can not be overstated,” continued Boggs. “What Holly, Thomas, and their teams accomplished during the pandemic is truly extraordinary. Whether you’re a first-time attendee or a tried-and-true Nutcracker fan, I have no doubt that this beautiful production will inspire, delight, and brighten your holiday season.”
The Nutcracker will run Nov. 26 through Dec. 24 at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House. The 2022/2023 Season opened with nine sold-out performances of Dracula, and Colorado Ballet anticipates selling out this holiday favorite as well. Purchasing tickets early for the best availability is strongly recommended.
