Adult Performance classes are suitable for beginning/intermediate level adults, with some prior ballet experience, who would like performance experience in both the Fall and Spring semester. Please note, absolute beginner students are not eligible for this class. The fall performance will be held on December 17, 2026. The spring performance will be held on May 12, 2027.
These classes offers adults the ability to learn and perform ballet choreography from our esteemed Academy Faculty, in our beautiful Black Box Theater, located in the Colorado Ballet Building. Students participating in the Adult Ballet Performance class should attend the technique class immediately prior and are expected to maintain a low number of absences.
SPECIAL OPPORTUNITY! Adult students enrolled in our Ballet Performance Classes receive the added benefit of being considered for super roles in select company productions. Supernumeraries, or "supers," are non-dancing, non-acting performers who help bring productions to life by appearing in crowd scenes, ballroom scenes, processions, and other onstage moments. While placement in a super role is not guaranteed, adult Ballet Performance Class students will be given consideration whenever there is a need for supers in a Company production.
If students are frequently absent or do not seem to be attending the technique class, the instructor can remove the student from the performance. Adult students are expected to attend all performance classes. Students who miss more than 4 classes will not be allowed to perform. Adult students are encouraged to attend the technique class held directly before the performance class.
