Afterschool Program

Every. Body. Dance.

Presented by Colorado Ballet Education & Community Engagement
For students of any grade

Colorado Ballet’s afterschool program provides dance classes that focus on creative movement and ballet. These classes take place in the school and last 10 - 12 weeks each semester. The curriculum is designed for students to study a variety of dance concepts (see below) while also improving important life skills such as problem solving, spatial awareness, social and emotional learning, and strengthening the body and brain all through the art of dance.

WHO?

Students in any grade level - each afterschool program is designed developmentally for the following groups: ECE – K, K – 2nd, 3rd – 5th, Middle School, High School. All afterschool programs are inclusive – students of all abilities are welcome. Minimum 5 students, maximum 16 students required for this offering.

WHAT?

Discover the joy of dance with Colorado Ballet's Education & Community Engagement afterschool program where students can explore creative movement and ballet in a fun, nurturing environment! Our program goes beyond dance steps—it is designed to spark imagination, build confidence, and foster important life skills. Through our dance classes, students will strengthen both their bodies and minds, express themselves artistically, make new friends, and develop a lifelong love of dance! 

Daytime Dance Residency Program

WHERE?

At your school! Classes can be in the gym, auditorium, library – any space that allows us to get moving and get creative.

WHEN?

Afterschool. Students are dismissed from the school day and will meet to start class all together. We ask that afterschool sessions run 8 – 12 weeks and are 45 minutes – 1 hour in length.

WHY?

By providing an afterschool dance program at your school, it gives students a creative and active outlet that supports both their physical and emotional well-being as they end their school day. Arts education is an engaging way to keep students connected to their school community and inspired long after the bell rings. 

HOW MUCH?

All after school programs are offered on a sliding scale*  based on FRL % rates and school budget. We are always willing to work with your school in order to meet student needs. See chart below to see recommended cost. 

Price scale for 25-26 Afterschool Classes
0-25% FRL  $22/student per class or $150/class
26-50% FRL $17/student per class or $110/class
51-75% FRL $12/student per class or $80/class
76-100% FRL $7/student per class or $50/class

*If you feel your school cannot afford the corresponding price based on your school’s FRL%, please contact Cassie Wilson at cassie.wilson@coloradoballet.org for options.
