Providing high quality educational opportunities for preschool through adults, the Colorado Ballet Education & Community Engagement Department has been engaging with the Colorado community for over 20 years. A fundamental philosophy of Colorado Ballet is to make dance accessible to everyone and inclusive of all. We aim to bring diverse communities together to overcome real and perceived barriers.
The Education & Community Engagement Department offers programs to students and community members least likely to access dance independently and for whom it could have the greatest impact. Seeking to work with as many people as possible in the art of dance, the department makes over 25,000 contacts each year with a variety of youth, families, teachers, and people with and without disabilities, reaching over 200 schools and organizations. In doing so, the department strives to provide quality dance education that focuses on the mission.
Colorado Ballet’s Education & Community Engagement department works with many schools across Colorado. The team is proud to bring dance to schools and communities in the Denver-metro area and beyond with in-school workshops and assemblies, field trips and after school programs.
