Classic princes and princesses featured prominently in the world of ballet come to life in Prince and Princess Dance Camp. The Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake, Cinderella and The Nutcracker are some of the ballets the students will explore. Young dancers will practice age-appropriate ballet movements while exploring the connection between dance and music as they study and embody characters from iconic classical ballets.
Explore the Art Deco era in art history and its bold colors and shapes. See how the Neo-Classical era in ballet and Les Ballets Russes played a part in influencing and shaping this lush and bold trend in art and vice versa. Explore colorful ballets and stories from Les Ballet Russes and bring the outdoors in with daily movement classes and opportunities to explore movement and create our own original choreography inspired by outdoor activities. Students will also develop crafts to suit each age group and reflect the era being studied. This camp will be the embodiment of art mirroring life with vibrant colors and movement exploration!
Fairies, elves, pixies and sprites! Venture into the world of these delightful beings featured in famous ballets such as Sleeping Beauty, The Nutcracker and A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Young dancers will practice age-appropriate ballet movements while exploring the connection between dance and music as they study and embody characters from iconic classical and neoclassical ballets.
North, South, East & West! Every country has traditional and classical dance forms. In addition to daily ballet classes, students will learn and practice other popular dance forms from around the world!
