CHILDREN'S DIVISION 
2023 summer ballet classes

Children’s Division classes are for tiny dancers ages 3–7. Classes in this division include Creative Dance, Pre-Ballet, and Ballet Level 1. Please see below for class descriptions, registration fees, schedules, dress codes and more.

Summer Ballet Session Dates
Session 1 | June 5–June 30, 2023  
Session 2 | July 10–August 4, 2023

Creative Dance I

Our youngest aspiring dancers are introduced to concepts of body and spatial awareness in this entry level class where they begin to develop their imagination through movement and music. Students learn to identify movement forms through engaging dance games, songs, music, and rhythmic patterns.

Ages 3–4 as of June 1  
One 45 minute class each week 
Registration fee | $10  
Tuition per session | $80 
Sign up for both Session 1 and 2 and only pay one registration fee! 

Schedule/Registration
Dress Code

Students have the right to dress in accordance with their gender identity, within Colorado Ballet Academy's dress code requirements.  

Creative Dance student can wear ballet attire, or dress in comfortable clothing that allows for free movement. 

Hair: Students with long hair should have their hair pulled back, away from the face in a neat manner. Ballet buns are required for students who have enough hair to do so.

Suggested ballet attire:
Females: Pink leotard, pink or skin tone tights, canvas ballet shoes that match tone of chosen tights, optional short pink shirt
Males: Form fitting white t-shirt, black spandex bike shorts, white socks and white canvas ballet shoes.

Pre-ballet

Students are introduced to the beginning concepts of ballet technique including turn out, upper lower body coordination, spatial awareness and ballet etiquette. Young dancers continue to use their imagination to foster their individual artistry as they increase their ballet vocabulary and understanding of musicality.

4:30pm- 5:30pm 

DRESS CODE

Students have the right to dress in accordance with their gender identity, within Colorado Ballet Academy's dress code requirements.

Ballet level I

Ballet Level 1 students will focus on developing important skills and body awareness including proper posture and body alignment, coordination and strength, musicality, imaginative artistry and French terminology.
