2024-2025 fall & year round
INTERMEDIATE DIVISION classes

Registration for Intermediate Division students opens July 3, 2024

Colorado Ballet Academy students in Levels 1 through our Pre-Professional Division have the extraordinary opportunity to participate in the annual full-length classical ballet production at the magnificent Ellie Caulkins Opera House in downtown Denver in May. Each class is featured in age appropriate original and adapted choreography in ballets such as Swan Lake, Coppélia and Giselle. Ballet Level 3 students increase their commitment and begin training for pointe shoe readiness and progressed male’s training. Additional attention is paid to proper extension of the legs, shaping the feet and upper body positions. Repetition and retention are emphasized with increased difficulty in barre and center work as students work to develop movement sequences, port de bras, balance, musicality, and imaginative artistry.

First year Ballet Level 3 Females add 30 minutes of Pre-Pointe training. Second year Ballet Level 3 Females add 30 minutes of conditioning and increase their Pre-Pointe training to 60 minutes per week.
