Ages 1 ½–3 with a Parent or Guardian
Instill the love of movement and music in your tot with this imaginative class! Parents and young children bond in an encouraging and nurturing environment while developing coordination, motor skills, musicality, and balance. Each semester will focus on an exciting theme that brings creativity and animation into the classroom, resulting in a fun and inspiring experience. To maximize the benefit for all students, we request only one parent or guardian attend per child.

Ages 3–4
Our youngest aspiring dancers will be introduced to body and spatial awareness and develop their imagination through movement and musicality. Students begin identifying basic forms of movement through dance games, songs, music, and rhythmical patterns. Each semester will focus on an exciting theme that brings creativity and animation into the classroom, resulting in a fun and inspiring experience. Students will end each semester in high spirits with a heartwarming performance in our own Black Box Theater.

Students have the right to dress in accordance with their gender identity, within Colorado Ballet Academy's dress code requirements.
Creative Dance students can wear ballet attire, or dress in comfortable clothing that allows for free movement.
Hair: Students with long hair should have their hair pulled back, away from the face in a neat manner. Ballet buns are required for students who have enough hair to do so.
Suggested ballet attire:
Females: Pink leotard, pink or skin tone tights, canvas ballet shoes that match tone of chosen tights, optional short pink

Males: Form fitting white t-shirt, black spandex bike shorts, white socks, and
white canvas ballet shoes.

Students learn concepts of body and spatial awareness, use of energy in movement, taking direction from their instructor, and taking turns with peers. Each semester will focus on an exciting theme that brings creativity and animation into the classroom, resulting in a fun and inspiring experience. Students will end each semester in high spirits with a heartwarming performance in our own Black Box Theater.

Pre-Ballet I introduces students to beginning concepts of ballet technique including turn out, coordinating upper and lower body movements, spatial awareness, and class etiquette. Young dancers will continue to use their imagination to foster artistry as they focus on musicality and increase their movement vocabulary. Each semester will focus on an exciting theme that brings creativity and animation into the classroom, resulting in a fun and inspiring experience. Each semester ends with a celebratory performance for loved ones in our Black Box Theater.

Ages 6–7
Pre-Ballet II functions as the bridge between creative dance and the formal structure of classical ballet training. Aspiring young dancers continue to increase their understanding of ballet concepts, coordination, musicality, and imaginative artistry in an encouraging environment. Beginning classical ballet fundamentals, classroom etiquette and self-discipline are introduced in preparation for Level 1. Pre-Ballet II students will celebrate their year of training and accomplishments with a special performance in our Black Box Theatre in May.
