Students enrolled in Creative Dance I through Pre-Ballet II will perform at the end of each semester at our in-house Black Box Theater.

parent tot - SEMESTER CLASS

Spring Semester: January 22, 2024 – May 11, 2024
Ages 1 ½–3 with a Parent or Guardian 

Instill the love of movement and music in your tot with this imaginative class. Parents and young children bond in an encouraging and nurturing environment while developing coordination, motor skills, musicality, and balance. Each semester will focus on an exciting theme that brings creativity and animation into the classroom, resulting in a fun and inspiring experience. To maximize the benefit for all students, we request only one parent or guardian attend per child.

creative dance I - SEMESTER CLASS

Spring Semester: January 22, 2024 – May 11, 2024 
Ages 3–4

Our youngest aspiring dancers will be introduced to body and spatial awareness and the development of imagination through movement and musicality. Students begin identifying basic forms of movement through dance games, songs, music, and rhythmical patterns. Each semester will focus on an exciting theme that brings creativity and animation into the classroom, resulting in a fun and inspiring experience. Students will end each semester in high spirits with a heartwarming performance either in-studio or in our own Black Box Theater.

Students shall have the right to dress in accordance with their gender identity, within the dress code requirements stated by CBA.

Females:
- Pink leotard 
- Pink or skin tone tights 
- Canvas ballet shoes to match tone of chosen tights 
- Short pink skirt optional 
- Hair should be neatly pulled back and away from face 

Males: 
- Form fitting white t-shirt 
- Black spandex bike shorts or form fitting black sweatpants 
- White socks 
- White canvas ballet shoes 
- Hair should be neatly groomed 

Colorado Ballet Academy does not sell items for Children’s Division classes. Please visit one of our local dancewear retailers to locate the items listed above.

creative dance II - SEMESTER CLASS

Spring Semester: January 22, 2024 – May 11, 2024 
Ages 4–5 

Young females and males continue their development by identifying basic forms of movement through imaginative games, songs, music, and rhythmical patterns at an age-appropriate level while continuing to foster independence. Students learn concepts of body and spatial awareness, use of energy in movement, taking direction from their instructor and taking turns with peers. Each semester will focus on an exciting theme that brings creativity and animation into the classroom, resulting in a fun and inspiring experience. Students will end each semester in high spirits with a heartwarming performance either in-studio or in our own Black Box Theater.

pre-ballet I - semester class

Ages 5–6

Students are introduced to beginning concepts of ballet technique including turn out, coordinating upper body and lower body movements, spatial awareness, and class etiquette. Students continue to use their imagination to foster artistry as they focus on musicality and increase their movement vocabulary. Each semester will focus on an exciting theme that brings creativity and animation into the classroom, resulting in a fun and inspiring experience. Students will end each semester in high spirits with a heartwarming performance either in-studio or in our own Black Box Theater.
