Colorado Ballet Academy students in Levels 1 through the Pre-Professional Division have the unique opportunity to participate in our annual, full-length classical ballet production at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House in May. Each class will perform original and adapted choreography suited for their level in classical ballets such as Swan Lake, Coppélia, and Giselle. The experience of being a part of a large-scale production gives students countless lifelong skills and a sense of accomplishment and comradery, along with the thrill of telling a story through dance.

Ballet Level 3 students begin specific training for pre-pointe work and progressed training for males. Dancers focus on proper leg extension, foot shape, and upper body positions. Repetition and retention are emphasized with increased difficulty at the ballet barre and center work as students develop movement sequences, port de bras, balance, musicality, and imaginative artistry.
First year Ballet Level 3 Ladies increase their conditioning training to 30 minutes per week and add 30 minutes of Pre-Pointe training and second year Ballet Level 3 females increase their Pre-Pointe to 60 minutes per week.
Males enrolled in Ballet Level 3 receive specialized training tailored to the unique needs of ballet technique for males.
